ClassRead · app ID com.classread.education
You can delete your ClassRead account and everything stored with it. There are two ways: inside the app, which takes effect immediately, or by email if you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in.
To remove a single student instead of your whole account, open that student from their class and choose to delete them. That removes only that child's account, results and recordings.
Send a message from the email address on the ClassRead account, so it can be verified that the request comes from the account holder:
support.classread@gmail.comInclude the words account deletion request and the email address of the ClassRead account. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and normally within a few days. A confirmation is sent once it is done.
Student accounts in ClassRead are created by a teacher, not by the child, and a child provides no email address or contact details. If you want your child's account, results and recordings deleted:
| Deleting | Removes |
|---|---|
| A student | Their account and sign-in, their username and PIN, every reading result, and every recording of them reading |
| A teacher account | The teacher's account and sign-in, every class they created, every student on those classes, all of those students' results and recordings, the teacher's own custom passages, and their saved favourites |
The official ClassRead reading library is shared by every school using the app and is not owned by any account, so it is unaffected. It contains no personal information.
| In the app | Immediate |
| By email | Within 30 days; normally a few days |
Once deletion completes, nothing is retained. ClassRead keeps no backup copy of a deleted account, its students, their results or their recordings.
